Introduction

Festa del Cactus was born of a wish to gain public support for the construction of a suitable heated greenhouse for the conservation of a collection of rare plants in danger of extinction. The project, called Verdivisioni: an ark for plants in danger of extinction is still in the slow process of  development.

After a quiet beginning with the participation of a few brave nurseries, the show gradually acquired a good reputation with collectors and lovers of succulent plants, until it eventually became an important event at national level, attracting enthusiasts from all over the country.

Festa del Cactus can now be considered one of the most important specialized events in Italy marking the end of the season. The attractions found in the show draw an ever greater public promising further success for future editions.
