It is now widespread news of the change of venue (this is the fifth time) at Festa del Cactus, which we are happy to finally confirm.
Twenty years after its first edition and moved by the need to offer greater convenience and excellent services to its audience, Festa del Cactus has chosen to make a breakthrough, supported by the extraordinary willingness of the management of Grand Tour Italia (formerly FICO), with whom a fruitful collaboration has been initiated, intended to give continuity to the event for future years.
Located on the immediate outskirts of Bologna and easily accessible by public and private transportation, the new location features extensive free parking, quality restaurants, children’s play areas, and offers numerous opportunities for individuals and families to have fun and relax (not everyone is into succulents!).
Succulence in the round
The project of Grand Tour Italia is to gather in one place the gastronomic excellence of our country, among the most appreciated in the world for the richness and quality of its succulent food; an adjective that becomes the uniting trait with Festa del Cactus, an event dedicated to the world of succulent plants among the most popular in the world!
What changes and what remains
Everything changes, to remain the same (quoting “The Leopard” by Giuseppe Tomasi di Lampedusa).
In our will is the intention to take this new path without betraying the spirit of great familiarity and sharing that has always characterized us and is the true cornerstone of this event.
Thus, alongside the considerable improvements in logistics and services (online ticketing, accessibility, catering, toilets, parking, recreation spaces for children and families, gastronomy classes, music, cultivation meetings, etc. …) our visitors will enjoy the usual familiarity and courtesy offered by the many exhibitors who now come from all over the world, as well as the presence of amateur groups and associations and specific events in the field of our common passion for succulent plants.
While the cost of admission remains the same, some visitors will appreciate the possibility of purchasing tickets online (the service will be activated in late July).
Finally, the entrance and closing time has been delayed by an hour to facilitate the work of exhibitors and our most loyal customers who come from afar.
