Bruno Abidal works as an assistant in a hospital, but for more than 30 years he has nurtured a dream: to care for a plot of land in Casamance, southern Senegal, where he tends and selects rare and unusual plants.

Every year he travels to the site with the help of a Senegalese friend who lives there, to work the land, pollinate, plant, and follow with dedication the growth of his collections.

The project

Bruno does not have a business: he is a passionate hobbyist. His great desire is to create a botanical garden open to walking and sharing, a place that combines nature and meeting.

He will be present at the Festa del Cactus with his eldest son, Mauro, to share his passion with the public through the sale of succulent plants endemic to his land, expertly reproduced from seed.
