Epiphyllum E.P.R.I.C.

Iwas born in Germany and at the age of 2 moved to the Netherlands where I spent most of my existence, without foreseeing that after a life already full of commitments and interests, a new life in Italy would be planned for me. But the signs were there from my birth: my name is Frank, derived from my favorite saint, Francis of Assisi. How fitting, since in my genes I have a love for plants and animals.
At the age of 6, I started growing cacti including a few epiphytic species. Since then, the passion has grown more and more, eventually leading to a nursery in Holland with 6,000 m2 of greenhouses and a 15,000 m2 park.

My middle name is Antonio, yes it is an Italian name, coming from Saint Anthony of Padua, and in fact now I live right in the province of Padua, in the beautiful town of Castelbaldo. How could it be predicted at birth? At only 17 years old, I became a member, the youngest ever, of the IOS, International Organization for the Study of Succulent Plants.

In the past, I have written more than 300 articles and books on epiphytic cacti. I have loved Schlumbergera and Epiphyllum hybrids since I was a child. I consider Italy as my new home where I enjoy all the benefits of hospitality, friendship, plants and of course food!

I will bring with me to the Festa del Cactus many rare hybrids of Epiphyllum and Schlumbergera, as well as some other epiphytic cacti. I will soon announce here some special packages that will be sold in advance only at Festa del Cactus. I will take them with me for you.
