Matteo Calbucci, born in Faenza, Italy in 1975, after collecting cacti of different genera for years, now devotes himself only to hybrids of Echinopsis and Trichocereus.
Initially fascinated by American hybrids and then captivated by old and new generation German hybrids, he now seeks to create new hybrids always with the passion of the hobbyist and the hope that nature will reveal sides of its beauty still hidden.
Each year it produces about a hundred new crosses that are seeded by other enthusiasts in about 20 different countries around the world.
