Stefania Zini Art

Iam Stefania Zini, an artist and craftswoman based in Bologna, working with art and handcrafted pieces for interiors. I create paintings, mixed-media works, objects, installations, land art and Japanese kokedama — plants grown without pots and wrapped in moss or natural fibres.
My choice of natural materials, finishes and themes is inspired by and dedicated to nature, combining artistic expression with an ethical commitment to biodiversity. I have been taking part in art exhibitions and creative markets for many years.

I call my work Living Art, both because I use materials that may include living plants and because it explores themes that are vital to our future on this planet. I also believe that art should live everywhere, including unexpected places beyond galleries, from streets to creative markets, becoming a kind of neighbourhood art.
Through my work I hope to train the eye to recognise art and beauty, while encouraging empathy, the idea of care as something that also nurtures us, and reflection on the fundamental themes of deep ecology.
