Kodama Lab

Small corners of the forest to be placed in small corners of the house is the phrase that has represented my passion for years.

I have always been attracted to the wooded, moist world I have known through years of camping and hiking. Since 2021 I discovered terrariums, being able to recreate that environment in a container and take it home was like having a small portion of that forest always available. I started with salvaged containers, collected moss and phytonias…. From there, a world opened up.

Over the years I have learned about various techniques and various species of plants and mosses, specializing in the substrate and the whole terrarium composition.The terrariums I create try to be as true to nature as possible, studying the perspective of the rocks, the size of the stones and the placement of the plants as if they were in a natural environment…

I like to experiment and disentangle the most diverse forms such as small necklaces, light bulbs, old bottles found at vintage markets, alcohol bottles up to large carboys.

In March 2024, my passion became my job, starting Kodama Lab, the Artisan of Green in Petritoli, Marche. I built my recreational space where you can find terrarium, kokedama, stabilized greenery, tropical plants, substrates and fertilizers, and many out-of-the-ordinary gift ideas. In Lab I teach classes with teachers from all over Italy, organize events and get-togethers with the aim of connecting people with a common passion, that for Nature.ì
